Introduction
We envision SMALK! to be a place where it’s easy to chat, make meaningful friendships, and have fun while doing it. Our Community Guidelines ensure everyone feels welcome and safe, but not at the expense of anyone else.
These guidelines describe what is and isn’t allowed on SMALK!. Everyone using our services must follow these guidelines, and they apply to all parts of our ecosystem, including but not limited to content, behaviors and communities. Our community members must also follow these guidelines for in-person events where relevant. We may sometimes consider relevant offline behaviors when assessing for violations of specific guidelines.
Respect an individual’s space, whether you know them or not.
Always ask for permission before touching someone, taking their photo, or filming them.
Consent one time is not consent every time.
Ask each time you’d like to film, photograph, or touch someone.
Treat others the way you want to be treated yourself
- Do not harass others or organize, promote, or participate in harassment. It’s ok to disagree, but what’s not ok is to make continuous, repetitive, or severe negative comments directed toward people or a community.
- Do not organize, promote, or participate in hate speech. We have zero tolerance for attacks directed towards a person or a community that are based on attributes such as race, ethnicity, caste, national origin, sex, gender identity, gender presentation, sexual orientation, religious affiliation, age, serious illness or disabilities.
- Do not make threats of violence or threaten to harm others. This includes indirect or suggestive threats and sharing or threatening to share someone’s personally identifiable information. Doxing is lame.
- Do not use SMALK! for the organization, promotion, or support of violent extremism. This also includes glorifying violent events, the perpetrators of violent acts, or similar behaviors.
- Do not sexualize children in any way. You are prohibited from grooming or sharing content or links which depict children in a pornographic, sexually suggestive, or violent manner, including illustrated or digitally altered pornography that depicts children (such as lolicon or shotacon). We report grooming and illegal content to the police.
- Do not make, share or promote adult content or sexually explicit content to anyone on SMALK!. We are all passionate about creators and want to discover like-minded communities, not your OnlyFans account.
- Do not use adult content in avatars, profile banners, metaverse preview banners, icons, invites, emojis, stickers, or any other places.
- Do not share content that glorifies or promotes suicide or self-harm, including any encouragement to others to cut themselves or embrace eating disorders.
- Do not share real media depicting gore, excessive violence, or animal harm.
- Do not share or misrepresent content that violates anyone's intellectual property or other rights. You are not allowed to claim, present or take credit for other people’s work such as travel content (images and videos), music, stories, metaverse space designs, virtual environments, illustrations and characters. Always check with the original creator before posting or resharing content on SMALK!. Follow normal courtesy if the original creator has approved you posting or resharing their work.
